Calibrated SAR data
After the ingestion, an initial processing is performed to calibrate the radar EO data harvested from COS-2 notification and make it ready for further generic processing as a Dataset.
In the ESA Charter Mapper the calibration of multi-mission SAR input products is done in systematic and is accomplished during the acquisitions ingestion process.
SAR calibrated Datasets are pre-processed SAR detected images, given as sigma nought in dB, which enables a faster thematic processing of SAR data.
As a result, in the Charter Mapper implemented by ESA multiple SAR Calibrated Dataset are then available for the user and ready for scenario systematic processing and on-demand processing for the creation of different types of output Products.
A general workflow about SAR Calibration is available here.
